Doug MacLardy, CPFA, CLU®

President and Founder, CAWMG Financial Advisor

For Doug, being a financial advisor is more than a career – it’s a chance to serve others and put his financial knowledge to good use. He has been doing just that for decades, helping clients pursue meaningful goals in life. Though he has broad experience in investment management, he specializes in serving individuals, business owners, corporate executives, and corporate retirement plans. Being an independent financial advisor is gratifying for Doug, who desires to

focus on the client only. As a CPFA, Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor and as a CLU®, Chartered Life Underwriter®, his passion lies in working with individual and business clients to help them make strides toward the future they envision. His greatest strength is his extensive experience in helping clients navigate through the ups and downs of life and the markets. He is also skilled at making the complex clear and easy for clients to understand.

Doug established Columbia Associates Financial Group in Vancouver, Washington, in 2007 when he was affiliated with LPL Financial. Drawn by its client-first culture, he moved the practice to Raymond James Financial Services in 2019. His tenure in the financial industry dates back to 1985 and includes firms such as ING Financial. He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors as well as the Financial Services Institute.

He earned his degree from Clark College in Vancouver. His background also includes four years of service in the United States Air Force. Doug stays connected to his community through service. He is a member and past president of the Estate Planning Council of Clark County. He has also served as a board member for Columbia River Mental Health, board president for a local private school as well as other non-profit organizations. He is a longtime resident of Vancouver, where he lives with his wife, Sherri. When he’s away from the office, you might find him traveling, golfing or fly fishing.
